Very nice .

We started our holiday at Cretan Malia Park 23rd July for a two week stay . On arrival in the early hours we were greeted by pleasant reception staff. The lobby was spacious and airy. Our room was clean and tidy with all we needed for our stay . Air con worked fine and much appreciated as temperatures reached late 30"s and mid 20"s in the night. We stayed in a garden view room which was very pretty and quiet . Room service was every day with bed & towel change . Every room had its own patio with table and chairs and sun beds if you are on the ground floor . Dinning room was large with a choice to eat inside or outside , the staff are pleasant and always there to take drinks order. if you don't like cats then don't sit outside by the walls as cats pester you when your eating .food was nice and varied with plenty of fresh fruit . There was a good selection of which covered most tastes. Swimming pools were clean with more than enough sun beds around . We did find that the pools are not very deep although are fine to swim in . All 3 pools were a good temperature and somewhat a relief in the heat . Beautiful gardens all around with all plants and flowers labeled . A lot of care was taken to keep up with the maintenance of the grounds and gardens . Very pretty . The beach was ok once again plenty of sun beds. There are rocky parts to get into the sea so water shoes are a must . (The beach bar man needs to be a little more happy in his job :-( as he didn't look like he wanted to be there . ) We had a very pleasant stay , staff worked hard and long hours . Entertainment struggled some nights but again staff did their best. If you are reading this I take it you are considering going , you won't be disappointed . We stayed half board and went to the taverna next door to the hotel "Starvi garden cafe bar" where you will be greeted by the owners who are very nice Greek brothers and serve excellent food and drink at very very reasonable prices . Please give them a visit , they will look after you with their fine food and drink . Tell them you've read this ! I rate them highly. Across from the hotel is Malia @cars and we got a fab deal to santorini (€95) Malia centre is about a 20 minute walk and worth a visit .taxi costs €7 -€10 euros . More

Emailed reservations with an enquiry before booking. They did not even have the courtesy to respond. Three days later I'm still waiting. Imagine what kind of service you would get once you've actually parted with your hard-earned cash...More

A bit middlin!

We have just returned from a week at the Cretan Malia Park. We had two rooms, a bungalow with a garden view and a single room. Both rooms were functional if perhaps a little dated. Some parts of the hotel and gardens are quite attractive, but others appear a little tired. The beach is sandy and there is a little inlet to the right (looking out to sea) where you can miss any rocks on the way in.There are plenty of sun beds, so there is no need to get up early to bag a couple. The majority of the guests are German, so the hotel is understandably geared towards their tastes. One or two of the staff can come across as a little rude, I think they mean nothing by it, but it isn't something that you can get way with in today's competetive market place. One thing the hotel is not, is all-inclusive, be prepared that some goods or services that you might expect to be included come with a charge. The food in the Greek a la carte was poor and lacked atmosphere, however the food in the main restaurant is okay. The service for drinks was slow and not really up to modern day standards. Entertainment, ranged from the good to the diabolical, but it depends on what you like. The Wi-Fi didn't work albeit the signal was strong in reception. We have a saying in Yorkshire of 'it's a bit middlin' when things are neither good nor bad and 'middlin' was our conclusion, so would we stay here again? Probably not.More

Relaxing week at Cretan Malia Park

Cretan Malia Park is a very pleasant hotel in a luscious garden setting. Beautiful plants are everywhere. The private beach is very nice. Although it was the height of the tourist season, it was never a problem to find lounge chairs, either at the beach or at the pool, at any time of day. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfasts and dinners had a wide choice of food; it was always fresh and very good. The air conditioning in the room was just the right temperature and the beds were very comfortable. The evening shows were entertaining. The hotel cats walking around gave the place a homey feel. Although not small by any means, the hotel has a cozy atmosphere. The week we spent here was very relaxing and a perfect holiday. It would have been great to stay longer.More

Fantastic Holiday, can't fault

Only been here a few days but we are so impressed with the hotel and staff, from the moment when we arrived we received a genuine welcome. The room we have is a bungalow number 502. This is a very clean complex and ALL the staff are a credit. Customer service is superb. Last night we had a local dish Sifado in the restaurant. I found this one of the best anywhere on the Greek Islands. In brief if you want a relaxing holiday this little Gem in Crete is the one to stay.More
